Meet the maker - Ruth Ann Swansburg

Hi, my name is Ruth Ann! I have always loved creating with my hands. I have a professional background in communications and graphic design, but it all started as a hands on artist!

I can look at most things and figure out how to make it or assemble it without instructions or a pattern. Making art or practical items with my hands had been put on hold in my adult years, until 2020. The year everything changed!

This venture started by making masks for my family and friends. Then more and more people wanted them. So I started Swansburg Designs to fill a need, but quickly realized how much I had missed working with my hands and creating something unique.

Now with my items in local shops (Maritime Crafts in Shediac and Made With Love- Janet's Bake Shop and Crafts in Riverview) and starting this online shop, I am excited to continue creating and finding new ways to offer useful products to you.
